Spettacolare canzone di questo artista mitico,trascinante ed emozionante.La ascolto sopratutto quando vado in auto a volume altissimo,e sull'ipod,quando corro,oppure prima di una partita per darmi la carica.E' adrenalina pura,ma và ascoltata a volume altissimo,perchè è così che sicuramente Billy Idol,l'ha concepita.Come tutta la sua vita,al massimo.Sicuramente una delle mie preferite in assoluto.

Per Billy Idol "Rebel Yell" è stato l'album della consacrazione mondiale. Del resto siamo di fronte ad un disco praticamente perfetto nel suo genere. I toni spaziano in maniera molto uniforme dal pop al rock, con la voce sorniona e cattiva di Billy che fa il bello e il cattivo tempo.
Il disco è veloce, ti cattura al primo ascolto, e non presenta particolari troppo complessi: commercialissimo dunque, ma nel senso più positivo del termine. L'album inoltre è suonato da dio (e non potrebbe essere altrimenti, visto che alle chitarre c'è Steve Stevens), ed ha una produzione impeccabile. Certo, ascoltandolo oggi si può sorridere di fronte ad alcune sonorità assolutamete anni '80, ma proprio in questi particolari sta anche il fascino di un album che è diventato un classico in brevissimo tempo.
Senza dubbio "Rebel Yell" ha un'anima molto paracula (che Billy non ha mai negato di avere, per altro), ma mi riesce difficile immaginare una sintesi più riuscita di pop da classifica e di rock alla buona da strada. Basta dare un'occhiata ad alcuni dei titoli presenti e si capisce subito che siamo di fronte ad una serie di pezzi da '90: "Rebel Yell", "Eyes Without A Face", "Flesh For Fantasy", "Catch My Fall"... Un piccolo capolavoro quindi, secondo molto importante per capire che aria tirava nell'84 nel mondo della muscia mainstream. E poi io ho da sempre un debole per Billy , quindi il disco ve lo consiglio alla grande: passa via dritto come un fulmine e ti fa venire una gran voglia di divertirti e di correre via come un fulmine. Cosa chiedere di più ad un disco di Billy Idol?TESTO:
