Brano che io amo particolarmente,non sò perchè,ma quando sono in auto e per caso lo trovo alla radio,alzo il volume e godo.E' bellissimo il giro di basso che c'è,e l'artista,Robert Palmer,è un grandissimo della musica anni 80.Anche se è scomparso da qualche anno,ancora le sue canzoni vengono mandate in tutte le radio del mondo.Adesso gira una cover,abbastanza discreta,dei Placebo,questo fà capire quanto sia apprezzata questa canzone.

Robert Palmer è stato un cantante pop/soul,nato il 19 gennaio del 1949 in Inghilterra, morto a causa di un infarto all'età di 54 anni. Il suo nome completo era Robert Allen Palmer.
Inizia la propria carriera musicale a metà degli anni Settanta, ma divenne più celebre successivamente, circa dieci anni dopo, con il brano "Johnny and Mary"contenuto nell'album "Clues" e che fu uno dei primi singoli che ebbero anche diffusione televisiva con videoclip.
Fu famoso il suo video del brano "Addicted To Love", tre minuti di discreto erotismo, con il cantante che si esibisce con un gruppo di affascinanti strumentiste alle sue spalle.
Debbuta come solista nel 1974 con il pezzo "Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley", poi fra i suoi brani più famosi si possono ricordare "Some People Can Do What They Like", la già citata "Addicted To Love" (1986)e "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On".
Nel 1985 entra a far parte dei Power Station,insieme a John Taylor e Andy Taylor,che avevano appena lasciato i Duran Duran,ed anche a Tony Thompson,che aveva formato gli Chic.il brano Johnny and Mary è stato per anni la canzone dello spot della Renault.
Muore a Parigi nel 2003 in seguito ad un attacco cardiaco.
